Charitable Grants

To date, generative art projects by steganon have contributed more than $620,000 to charitable organizations! These funds have been managed through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) via endaoment.org and all grants have been distributed.

Thank you so much to all the collectors who minted Autology and/or Assorted Positivity and made these donations possible. I know that the charitable aspect during the minting process is as important to many collectors as it is to me. I have much appreciation for you all.

In the interest of financial transparency, itemized lists of grants are provided below.

"Amount Sent" includes Endaoment platform fees.
"Grant Amount" is the actual amount received by each organization.
"Grant Recipient" links go directly to the corresponding endaoment.org page with information about the charitable organization, the donation history, and a link to the etherscan transaction.

Assorted Positivity

The Assorted Positivity series reserved 23.079583333333332 ETH for charity and the ETH was sent directly to Endaoment as part of the minting process. Endaoment provided the exchange to $USD and transferred the funds into the DAF immediately upon completion of the project ($40,155.03 on June 3, 2022).

Funds were designated for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the hopes of bringing some joy to critically ill children around the globe.

Date Recipient Amount Sent Grant Amount
June 21, 2022 Make-A-Wish Foundation International $27,272.73 $27,000.00
June 21, 2022 Make-A-Wish America $12,882.30 $12,753.47
Totals: $40,155.03 $39,753.47

Autology

The Autology series reserved 157.75247682594233 ETH for charity (on Nov. 22, 2021). Transferring funds to Endaoment took longer than expected due to a hardware wallet issue. The ETH was transferred to Endaoment on Dec. 22, 2021 and the transfer endured conversion rate slippage due to the bulk transfer (other transfer methods have since been recommended). The total should have been $646,102.09, yet the amount received into the DAF was $588,178.48.

The majority of the charitable funds was designated for Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF). Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths--it claims more lives each year than pancreatic, prostate, and breast cancers combined--yet, it receives less funding. These grants from Autology proceeds will fund two researchers for two 2-yr projects. It has been a pleasure to keep in touch with LCRF and learn continual details about amazing researchers and recent advancements in lung cancer research, early detection, and targeted therapy.
